About me
My story
I am an engineer with 5+ years of experience in Product and Project Management in the solar and energy storage fields. I hold a degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics & an on-going specialization in Battery Management Systems.
Originally from Morocco, I lived in multiple countries such as Spain, Bulgaria and Czech Republic. I am currently living in Prague and working as Head of Energy Storage in Photon Energy Group, a global supplier of solar power across EU and Australia.
In addition, I host a Spanish-speaking podcast where I invite renewable energy specialists to share their knowledge with the community.
I spend my time thinking & analyzing the technology we have in our hands to enable sustainable and clean energy. I do that to accelerate the penetration of renewable resources in the grid in an affordable and efficient way.

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree as Industrial Electronics Engineer from the University of Granada, Spain.
Photovoltaic Projects Engineer
I joined Greeening IngenierÃa, now part of the Greening Group, as a member of the engineering team to design, manage and commission :

Some of my first self consumption projects
While working with Greening IngenierÃa, I designed, legalized and commissioned 200+ kW of PV self-consumption installations for commercial and industrial applications. Back then, PV self consumption was still a new market in Spain.
My first big off grid power system
Greening gave me the opportunity to fully design and commission an AC-coupled hybrid power system for a poultry farm with a capacity to host 30000 chickens. The design was successful and repeated in multiple farms.
When the management of Greening Group decided to start a new company dedicated to photovoltaic material distribution, they proposed to me to be its Technical Director.
 I was responsible of the Technical Dpt. providing our customers a front-end engineering design services as well as a full technical support.
In Photón Renovables we needed a custom-made solution that is able to create techno-economic proposals with the available stock of materials. I took over this task and I used my skills of Python to create a software capable of automatic sizing of self-consumption and solar pumping systems by connecting to a stock database.
Distribution agreements with main OEM of PV panels, inverters and batteries
During the first year of the company, and in cooperation with the Managing Director, we signed long-term distribution agreement with leading OEMs like Kostal, Ingeteam, Omron, BYD & Trojan.
My next adventure took me to Bulgaria, as a Product Manager in International Power Supply, an OEM of power electronics and turn-key
energy solutions in the Oil & Gas, Electrification, Telecom
and Defense sectors.
I was responsible of the research and identification of new market opportunities within the off- & mini- grid sector as well as the definition of the product’s vision & unique value proposition.
After 9 months working in IPS, the Board of Directors decided to appoint me as Chief Commercial Officer, in order to manage the sales and operational depts as well as the key accounts such as Saudi Aramco, SNC Lavalin or METKA.
This is my first project that I lead in IPS to design, manufacture and deliver an off-grid power system to power a TETRA site in the northern area of Saudi Arabia. In cooperation with SNC Lavalin, we managed to accomplish this extraordinary project for our customer Saudi Aramco.
Mini-grids to education in North Nigeria
In cooperation with METKA, a Greek EPC and shareholder in IPS, we delivered one of the biggest mini-grids in western Africa, delivered to power the Federal University of Petroleum Resources.
The world's first gas wells powered by 100% renewable energy
After COVID-19 had hit the world, I faced multiple issues as a Project Manager, specially on the logistical and operational side. Nevertheless, IPS team managed to deliver 11 power systems for the gas wells with a total capacity of more than 20 MWh of storage.
After 4 years leading the commercial and operational team of IPS, I joined Photon Energy Group to develop a new business line of implementing Energy Storage in their assets and on third parties. My job consists on managing the whole life process of Energy Storage, from the initial modelling and assessment up to operation of the assets, including development, engineering and construction.
